Admin Prof day banner

Dear CSD17 Families,

Across our four schools and District Office, there is a group of individuals whose work holds everything together. These people are often the first point of contact for new families, a lifeline for our staff, and a steady, reliable presence who keeps our schools running smoothly each day, despite the wide range of responsibilities they carry. These exceptional individuals are none other than our administrative professionals. Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22, is a day on the calendar set aside in their honor. Therefore, I have dedicated this Superintendent Minute to recognizing their contributions.

Our administrative professionals support students who need reassurance, assist staff in countless unseen ways, and help families navigate questions with patience and care. In moments of urgency, they respond with calm efficiency; in everyday interactions, they bring warmth, kindness, and a genuine commitment to helping others. They are problem-solvers and organizers who ensure our day-to-day operations run seamlessly. Their ability to balance professionalism with compassion creates an environment where people feel cared for and confident they are in good hands. Our principals and administrators rely heavily on their expertise and dedication, and we are deeply grateful for the countless ways they contribute to making Channahon 17 a world-class public school district.

I am proud to say that our administrative assistants approach every interaction with our students, staff, and community members with warmth and care, ensuring each one begins and ends with a smile. Much of their work happens behind the scenes, yet its impact is felt every single day. We are fortunate to have such dedicated professionals in our four schools and our District Office serving as the first point of connection for our students, staff, and community.

Gratefully,
