NB Galloway is an early elementary building servicing students who are in pre-k through second grade. We believe exceptional education starts with a solid foundation. At NB Galloway, our mission is to provide the youngest learners at District 17 with high-quality instruction in the most fundamental principles so that every child can grow to reach their highest potential. We strive to cultivate a learning environment where students develop the skills to collaborate effectively, challenge themselves cognitively, and treat one another with respect.

In order to help build character, relationships, and school pride, NBG utilizes a "Crew System", based on The Ron Clark House Academy. There are six crews at NBG, and each crew represents one of the six pillars of character (caring, fairness, citizenship, respect, trust, and responsibility. Children are put on crews based on their classroom teacher. Each teacher has a team they are affiliated with. There is a teacher from every grade level on each team. The students work hard to demonstrate one of the character traits to help their crew earn "crew cash". The crew cash is turned in to earn points for their respective crew. The crew with the highest points by the end of the month earns a fun incentive! Students have a blast learning about good character and the importance of teamwork throughout the year!
